The Canon 80D DSLR answers the call for a highly capable APS-C camera with features to keep active photographers making images for the long haul. The camera features a 24.2MP APS-C sized sensor with native ISO of 100-16000 and expanded ISO up to 25600 thanks to the DIGIC 6 processor. To match the low light imaging capability the camera focuses down to EV -3 (negative 3!) or with an unprecedented f/8 lenses in brighter light. Canon appreciates that many photographers are branching into video, and many videographers are using DSLR to enhance their craft and the 80D Records Full HD video at 60FPS. If you’re taking still photos the camera can capture at 7FPS or 5FPS in live-view mode, with AF enabled.

18-55mm STM LensThe Canon 18-55mm STM Zoom lens covers a range similar to 28-80 on 35mm film for great versatility and range. The lens features the STM motor for smooth autofocus when recording video, and quick silent focus when taking still photos. The versatility and light weight of this lens make it very popular for many photographers.

24.2MP APS-C sensorThe Canon 80D’s 24.2MPO sensor has enough resolution for large prints, and the high ISO capability means you can make better use of available light. The sensor features an ISO range of 100 to 16000 or up to 25600 in extended mode. The DIGIC 6 processor keeps noise under control even when taking photos at the maximum 7FPS.

45-cross point AFThe 45 point AF system uses cross-type AF sensors for more reliable and faster AF than previous cameras with extended capacity for low light to match the impressive sensor. The AF system works in light as low as EV -3 (negative 3! VERY low light) or with lenses as slow as f/8 in brighter light – which makes it a great option for sports and wildlife photographers using long lenses with a teleconverter.

Full HD videoThe camera records Full HD video at 60FPS to keep up with the speed of progress and the demands of videographers. Lower resolution video at higher frame rates are also possible for super-slow-motion video and other special effects.
