Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens
This camera comes equipped with an 18-55 lens (27-83mm equivalent focal length) with vibration reduction to ensure your action shots come out clear. This light, compact lens is well suited for most shots, from wide angle to telephoto. Extensive multicoatings and cutting edge lens design work together to eliminate annoying ghosting and flare from the lens. This great, practical “walk-around” or everyday lens covers the majority of photographic situations with ease.

24.2MP DX-format CMOS image sensor and EXPEED 4 image processing
The 24 MP sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor has outstanding low light sensitivity up through ISO 25,600 at up to 5 fps. In order to maximize color range, detail and sharpness, Nikon chose to omit the typical low pass filter. The combination of the image sensor and processor ensure that you can get the pictures you want even in difficult conditions. For photographers who want complete control of their post processing, the camera also records in RAW.

Camera Body
The D5500 Camera is compact and lightweight, but don’t let that fool you, thanks to monocoque construction it can handle harsh conditions and keep on going. The optical pentaprism viewfinder offers an accurate view of your subject that is bright and clear for use in any lighting conditions. The LCD employs touch screen technology allowing you to quickly swipe through menus, pinch to zoom, choose a focus point, quickly enable effects and navigate settings. The 3.2 inch (8 cm) 1,037k dot screen pulls out, flips, tilts and spins to suit taking photos from every angle. The camera has a pop-up flash that’s compatible with Nikon’s CLS (creative lighting system) for maximum creativity with supported flashes. The full-time 39-point autofocus system with 9 cross type sensors keeps the action shots sharp and focused in various lighting conditions. The photo color is precise due to the 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for different lighting and precise exposure metering. The included lithium-ion battery allows you to take up to 820 photos per charge.

The D5500 records Full HD video at 1080p and 60 fps to faithfully capture your memories. Audio settings allow you to set the built in stereo microphone to record wide or voice frequency ranges for clean, usable audio. Face detection and full time autofocus will allow you to take professional looking video. Advanced picture controls allow you to add effects to your video in post-production.

The built-in WiFi allows for quick photo sharing with your tablet or smartphone. Remote viewing and shutter from your phone will ensure you’re always capturing the perfect group shot.
