Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens
The Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens Included with the D5600 has a field of view equivalent to a 28-83mm lens on 35mm film, and covers a majority of photos nicely. The lens has a vibration reduction system for sharp handheld photos and smooth video. The lens suits wide angle to portrait shooting in a compact, light package. Nikon has designed this lens with multiple coatings to help eliminate annoying ghosting and flare from your pictures. This is a great, practical walk-around lens for every day and suits the majority of photo situations with ease.

24MP DX-format CMOS image sensor and EXPEED 4 image processing
The EXPEED 4 image processor and 24 MP sensor has exceptional low light sensitivity up through ISO 25,600. The image sensor and processor work together to make sure your pictures come out great even in difficult conditions. The D5600 can shoot continuously for up to 5fps at a max resolution of 6000 x 4000 pixels and can save JPG and RAW for photographers who want complete control. To maximize detail and sharpness Nikon chose to eliminate the typical low pass filter.

Camera Body
The D5600 is a compact and lightweight DSLR, but thanks to its monocoque construction it can handle rough conditions and not miss a beat. The optical pentaprism viewfinder is bright and clear and offers 95% image overage with 0.82x magnification. It displays an accurate view of your subject that is clear and bright for use in all kinds of lighting conditions. The 3.2 inch (8 cm) 1,037k dot touch screen pulls out, flips, tilts and spins to allow for taking pictures from every angle. The LCD employs touch screen technology allowing you to quickly swipe through menus, pinch to zoom, choose a focus point, quickly enable effects and navigate settings. The camera has a built-in flash to help light a dark scene, and is also compatible with Nikon’s CLS (creative lighting system) for maximum creativity. The full-time 39-point autofocus system with 9 cross type sensors keeps the action shots focused and sharp in a variety of lighting conditions. The photo color is precise due to the 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for different lighting and precise exposure metering. The included rechargeable lithium-ion battery allows you to take up to 820 photos per charge.

The D5600 records Full HD video at 1080p and 60 fps to reliably capture your favorite memories. Manual audio settings allow you to set the built in stereo microphone to record wide or voice frequency ranges for clean usable audio even in tricky conditions like when it’s windy. Face detection and full time autofocus will allow you to make professional looking video and advanced picture controls allow you to add effects to your video in post-production. Videographers who want to get really creative will appreciate the built in intervalometer which allows you to take time lapse videos with ultra-sped up motion to help express your vision and take memorable videos.

The D5600 has both a Bluetooth Low Energy and NFC communication for intuitive connection to your mobile devices using the SnapBridge app. This lets you quickly transfer photos and videos to share on social media. Your phone can even be setup to automatically receive photos in an easily shared 2MP format via Bluetooth. Full size images can also be transferred for instant backups or quick printing. The wireless communication also allows you to control the camera remotely with full live-view and shutter release features to ensure you’re always capturing the perfect group shot.
