A net is simply that - net fabric. It's purpose is not to diffuse light, but rather cut it. For example, if you have a location shot where your background is a boat placed up on the shore and the light is beaming in from behind the boat making the light entirely too bright to photograph or film, you need to cut the light down. You can't simply choose another angle because the boat is your background. By placing a net behind your subject, it becomes invisible to the camera and cuts down the light resulting in better image capture. (Think of a net like sunglasses for your camera.)
All of our net fabrics are seamless to insure nothing gets in the way of your shots.
